Plants

Chosen for the Pacific Northwest.

Wet winters, dry summers, and clay-heavy soil rule out a lot of what looks good at the garden center. Farias Landscape works from a palette that holds up here and reads well in every season.

  • Evergreen structure so the yard is not bare in winter
  • Low-water plants for the summer dry stretch
  • Native options where they fit the design
  • Right plant, right spot, so it is not fighting the site

How a design project runs.

Site visit and measurements

We walk the yard with you, note sun and shade through the day, check drainage and soil, and measure the areas in play. This is also where we talk budget honestly, before any drawing happens.

The plan and plant list

You get a layout, a plant list with sizes and quantities, and the materials, along with the estimate. Adjust it as much as you want at this stage. Changes on paper are free.

Installation

Once you approve, we schedule the build: clearing, grading and soil prep, hardscape materials, planting, then mulch and cleanup. Most residential projects take one to five working days on site.

Establishment period

New plantings need consistent water for the first season. We set watering guidance, and maintenance clients get the new beds folded into the regular route.

Landscape design questions

Landscape design questions.

Cost depends on the size of the area, how much needs to be removed first, and the plants and materials chosen. A small bed refresh and a full backyard build are very different numbers. Farias Landscape prices each project after a site visit and gives you an itemized estimate.

Tell Farias Landscape about the yard and what you picture. The first step is a site visit and an honest budget conversation.
